Ashoke Mullick was born in 1957, Calcutta. He graduated with first class in fine arts from the Govt College of Arts & Crafts, Calcutta-1981 He was awarded Cultural Scholarship by Department of Culture, Government of India, 1981-82 under Bikash Bhattacherjee. Also studied at College of Visual Art,Kolkata, under Shuvaprasanna.
