Born in Satkhira, Bangladesh, artist Jayanta Mondal completed his BFA and MFA from the Department of Drawing and Painting at Faculty of Fine Art, University of Dhaka. His paintings are based on recent contemporary societal issues. Jayanta Mondal's works portrays his belief that our society is turning more and more brutal everyday, as if every day we are moving more towards the past. Recently, Jayanta Mondal's artworks were exhibited in the exhibition titled, Rotation of Time, at the Zainul Gallery, Faculty of Fine Art, University of Dhaka. Noted artists Shishir Bhattacharjee and Rafiqun Nabi among others inaugurated the exhibition on February 23, 2020.
