On the event of International Women´s Day, the 8th of March 2021,let´s celebrate the achievements of women in all walks of life all over the world and also raise awareness about women´s equality.
In the year 1908,in New York City US, thousands of women garment workers went on a protest march against their working conditions. Their demand was for shorter working hour, a right to vote and fair pay at work. To honor the anniversary of those protests, the next year, the Socialist party of America organized a National Women´s day in 1909. Women across the globe had an immense urge for a change towards betterment of their condition, this acted like a spark. The next year in Copenhagen Denmark , there was a conference about women equality and equal rights to vote. The idea grew and for the first time in the year 1911 ,this day was acknowledged as the International Women´s day and celebrated in Austria, Denmark, Germany and Switzerland. In 1975 the United Nations declared 8th of March as the International Women´s Day.
This year we are celebrating the 110th International Women´s Day.
This women´s day let us be thankful to every woman for the things they do.
Everyday we do our best to fulfill our homemaker roles, our bread winner roles and many other roles that we play everyday. We aim at perfection and try to be best in everything we do.In trying to be the best mother, best wife and the best corporate woman at the same time ,we give a lot of stress to ourselves .Let us take a moment ,relax a bit and laugh at our follies..We are all humans…
Let´s take pleasure in celebrating the different roles a woman play .This is the day to cherish and think about the progress women have made so far.. But more importantly to find out where a change is required, to make our world a fair, better and equal place to live in for all of us..
Have a look at our exclusive women´s day paintings collection and take some time to think which role is yours..?
