I am Khushboo Upadhyay Soni, a visual artist from India, born in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh in 1986. My practice is rooted in painting and extends across multiple mediums including acrylic, oil, pen, pastel, and charcoal on canvas, paper, and wood. I hold a B.F.A. in Painting from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi (2010), an M.F.A. in Painting from the College of Art, Delhi University (2012), and an M.Phil. from Mangalaytan University, Aligarh (2013). Over the years, I have been honored with prestigious fellowships, including the Junior Fellowship (2023–25) from the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training, Ministry of Culture, New Delhi, and the State Lalit Kala Akademi Painting Scholarship (2020–21) in Lucknow. My work has been recognized with several awards, such as the Finext All India Art Exhibition Award (2025, Bhopal), the 130th All India Annual Art Award (2022)AIFACS Award and Bombay Art Society Award in Mumbai I Through my practice, I seek to explore themes of identity, gender, and social transformation, blending personal reflection with cultural narratives. My art is both a meditation and a dialogue — a way to connect inner silence with collective voices.
